Ukraine introduced a new helicopter on display in the UAE.
State company Ukrinmash, a part of the concern Ukroboronprom, introduced the concept of a new light attack helicopter KT-112 for the 2017 exhibition iDEX in Abu Dhabi (UAE).
A new modification of CT 112УД is an improved version of the helicopter KT-112 Cadet development KB Vertical.
This is a multipurpose attack helicopter with anti-tank missile complex Barrier and missiles air-air. Designed to defeat air targets for other helicopters or drones.
According to the report, the new helicopter is equipped with two engines Rotax 914 with a capacity of 115 HP, which will enable to develop the helicopter a maximum speed of 200 km/h.
At full takeoff weight of 1,000 kg, the helicopter CT-112УД will be able to carry a set of guided anti-tank weapons type Barrier and missiles air-to-air Strela-2/Needle. The helicopter will also be equipped with a machine gun 7.62 mm.
Experts note that the functionality of the new Ukrainian helicopter can be used to defeat stationary and moving modern armoured targets that have combined, spaced or monolithic armour, including era, and also pinpoint targets like permanent weapon emplacements, tank in trench, lightly armored objects and helicopters.
On its stand at the international specialized exhibition in the Emirates Ukroboronprom presented the layout of the new CT-112.
