The national Bank recommended that the staff resolve the vulnerability in Microsoft Word that uses the virus to control the computer.
Ukrainian banks and businesses on the eve of Independence day can attack the hackers.
It is noted that the security Department NBU warned employees about the emergence and spread of malicious code.
“Spreads by sending out emails with the code disguised as a Microsoft Word document”, − stated in the message NBU stresses that no anti-virus software does not recognize the malignancy code.
The report stated that the new virus uses a rare vulnerability in Microsoft Word CVE-2015-2545, which allows to obtain virtually complete control over a PC. To eliminate the vulnerability is possible “by setting the appropriate patch from the manufacturer Microsoft”.
