Zaporozhye plant of Motor Sich in 2018 plans to begin deliveries in Austria serial aviation engines AI-450C for the European business jet DA-50.
Framework agreement with Austrian Diamond Aircraft Industries to supply four hundred years 2018-2023 engines signed by the parties during aerospace salon Le Bourget-2017 in France.
“The signing of a binding contract with Austrian side is scheduled before the end of the year,” – said the Agency interlocutor.
The engine AI-450C power 460 HP specifically designed by the state enterprise Ivchenko-Progress to Diamond Aircraft Industries. Ukrainian engine of the fourth generation with a mass of 170 kg to replace the business jet DA-50 German diesel Teledyne Continental TSIOF-550J power 350 HP
This plane is widely used for training pilots and in humanitarian missions, delivered to EU countries, USA and China. A successful demonstration flight DA50-JP7 with Ukrainian AI-450C was held in Vienna in January 2015.
