The Minister of Finance of Ukraine Oleksandr danylyuk is expecting in the autumn of the decisions of the International monetary Fund (IMF) on granting Ukraine the next tranche under the EFF program.
The Minister of Finance stated in an interview on Bloomberg TV.
“Ukraine can receive the 5th tranche of the IMF loan in autumn”, – said danyluk.
Earlier, the Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groisman stated that the release of the 5th tranche of financial assistance to Ukraine from the IMF a total of $17.5 billion will be deferred until the end of this year, because the Parliament does not adopt all the necessary reforms before the summer recess.
Thus, the fifth tranche in the amount of $1.9 billion, the IMF will provide until autumn, whereas previously the allocation was planned for June-July.
The reason for the delay of granting the loan is the fact that the Verkhovna Rada did not support the pension and land reform before the summer holidays. The conduct of these reforms was a key requirement for disbursement of the next tranche of credit.
11 March 2015, the IMF approved a program of lending to the economy of Ukraine with the use of the extended financing facility (EFF) totaling $17.5 billion for a period of 4 years.
