Deputy Minister of economic development Natalia Mykolskiy said that the AgroExport in the EU is allowed to occupy a leading place. She stated, analyzing the results of the operation of a free trade zone with the EU, which entered into force on 1 January 2016.
“We see a positive trend in trade with the EU. This is supported by our statistics. With a total fall of Ukrainian exports, the pace of exports to the EU are growing. And this level of growth has reached 3%. Ukraine entered the TOP 3 countries that actually feed the EU, i.e. the supply of agricultural products,” said Gaina.
She also noted that serious momentum is gaining and export of light industry products. According to the Gaina, about 80% of export products in this segment of production sold on the EU markets.
“Also on the EU market beginning to enter the goods that were previously exported only to Russia and CIS countries. It is, for example, on goods train production,” said Gaina.
