This “news” told the head of the Ukrainian Association of publishers and booksellers Alexander Afonin.

In December 2016, the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko has signed a law on the mechanism of limiting access to the Ukrainian market of printed products “anti-Ukrainian content” from Russia.
The corresponding document with the full name “the Draft law on amendments to some laws of Ukraine regarding restriction of access to the Ukrainian market of foreign printed materials of anti-Ukrainian content” was approved by the Verkhovna Rada on December 8 and returned with the signature of the head of state on December 30. The law was tabled in Parliament by the government. The document adopted on 8 December by the votes of 237 MPs.
The adopted law stipulates that publishing products that has the origin (manufactured) and/or imported from the territory of the aggressor state, the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine may be imported into the customs territory of Ukraine and distributed in its territory with the appropriate permission, in addition to publishing products imported by citizens in hand Luggage or accompanied Luggage a total amount of not more than 10 copies.
