Ukraine sought to Gazprom part of the fine

The Ministry of justice began the process of recovery of a fine for abuse of a monopoly position.

The Ministry of justice has collected from Gazprom to the state budget of Ukraine to almost 81 million. On this day, June 20, at the press conference said the Minister of justice Pavel Petrenko.

Petrenko reminded that the decision of Economic court of Kiev to Gazprom in favor of Ukraine imposed a fine of 171.93 billion UAH for abuse of a monopoly position after the Ministry of justice started the procedure for recovery of these funds.

“You understand that on the territory of Ukraine, Gazprom has special assets. We have implemented all measures for search of assets – immovable property, other assets, cash that may belong to this society on the territory of Ukraine”, – he said.

Petrenko noted that already there are first results on forced execution of court decisions. “As of today, with Gazprom in favor of the state budget collected UAH 80.8 million – those funds that have been identified on the territory of Ukraine as belonging to this company, in the form of dividends from third parties. the justice Department arrested these funds and the process of decommissioning and the recovery of such amount completed,” he said.

In addition, the arrest of the identified assets – we are talking about shares with a nominal value of 33,3 million UAH belonging to Gazprom in the company of Gaztranzit.

According to Petrenko, the search for assets of Gazprom on the territory of Ukraine continues. The Minister noted that after the exhaustion of all national instruments of asset tracing Gazprom in Ukraine, will use the international instruments of legal assistance in the execution of court decisions in other countries.
