Ukraine sharply increased trade volumes

Ukraine’s exports increased by a quarter.

In the first quarter of this year, Ukrainian exports of goods and services increased by 28 percent compared to the same period last year, said the Ministry.

It is reported that the export of goods and services amounted to 12.4 billion dollars. It’s on $ 2.7 billion more than in the first quarter of last year.

The Agency said that merchandise exports grew by 34.4 percent to 10.4 billion dollars, while exports of services by 7 percent, reaching $ 2.4 billion.

The main trading partner of Ukraine in the export of goods left the EU (38.4 per cent), while the share of Russia made up 9 percent, showing an increase of 284,6 million dollars.

Important countries for exports were India (growth 353,8 million dollars), Turkey (177,7 million dollars), Iran (146,2 million), Egypt (136 million dollars), the USA (about 125.4 million U.S. dollars) and Israel (106,1 million).

Most of all, Ukraine exported ores and iron concentrates, sunflower oil , soy beans, rolled flat bar hot rolled, corn, semi-finished products of steel, sugar, wheat, iron alloys, and barley.

As for services exports, a major share of the it took transport services (55.4 per cent), computer and information services (16.3 percent), services for processing material resources (13.9 percent) and business services (7.7 percent).
