Ukraine sharply increased its exports of agricultural products

Sales of agricultural products amounted to 42.6 per cent in the overall structure of national export.

Export of Ukrainian agricultural products during the first three months of this year increased by 38.6 percent more than the same period in 2016 at $ 4.6 billion.

It is noted that sales of agricultural products amounted to 42.6 per cent in the overall structure of national export.

Thus, increased export crop production (35 percent, or 598,1 million dollars), fats and oils (35.6 percent, or 336,4 million dollars).

At the same time the import of agricultural products to Ukraine totaled $ 1.1 billion, a decrease of 4 percent compared to this period last year.

Thus, the share of agricultural imports in the structure of imported goods in the country fell to 9.8 percent in the first quarter of 2017 from 13 percent in the first quarter of 2016.
