Ukraine reduced steel production

Украина снизила производство сталиSteel production in Ukraine in September decreased by 7.6%.

Ukraine on the results of metallurgical enterprises in September 2018 decreased steel production by 7.6% compared to the same period of 2017 to 1.8 million tonnes, down from 12 th to 13-th place in the ranking of 64 countries – the basic world manufacturers of this production.

This is evidenced by data from the world steel Association (Worldsteel).

In September recorded a decrease of steel production by September 2017 in half of the countries in the top ten.

First ten countries-steel producers in September looks like: China (80.8 million tons, up by 7.5%), India (8.5 million tons, rising by 2.1%), Japan (8.4 million tons, a drop of 2.4%), USA (7.2 million tons, an increase of 9%), Russia (5.9 million tonnes, a fall of 1.3%), South Korea (5.8 million tons, falling by 3.4%), Germany (3.7 million tonnes, an increase of 7.5%), Brazil (3.0 million tonnes, a growth of 2.5%), Turkey (2.8 million tonnes, a fall of 5.9%) and Italy (2.1 million tonnes, falling by 0.8%).

Followed by Iran (2 million tons, increase by 4.3%), Taiwan (China, 1.9 million tonnes, a rise of 6.5%) and Ukraine (1.7 million tonnes, a fall of 7.6%).

Overall in September 2018 64 countries made of 151.7 million tonnes of steel, which is 4.4% higher than September 2017.

In January-September 2018 in the first ten included: China (of 699, 4 million tons, a growth of 6.1%), India (79.6 million tons, growth by 6.1%), Japan (78.6 million tons, an increase of 0.4%), USA (64.1 million tons, up by 4.5%), Russia (54.2 million tons, an increase of 1.8%), South Korea ($54.1 million tons, an increase of 2%), Germany (34,0 million tons, an increase of 3.5%), Turkey (27.9 million tons, a growth of 0.9%), Brazil (26.0 m tonnes, a rise of 2.5%) and Iran (18.5 million tons, an increase of 20%).

On 11-th place – Italy (18.3 million tons, up by 2.9%), and 12th – Taiwan (Republic of China, and 17.3 million tons, an increase of 1.8%) and 13-m – Ukraine (15.7 million tonnes, a growth of 0.8%).

For the first nine months of 2018 64 countries have made 1 billion 346,9 million tonnes of steel, which is 4.7% more than in the same period last year.
