Since September of 2018 kicks off the League of Nations UEFA Ukraine as of today is in the elite division.
Each of the 55 national teams of Europe will participate in the pilot launch of the League of Nations, UEFA – all teams will be divided into four divisions according to the UEFA rankings as of November 2017, when Europe will culminate in qualification for the 2018 world Cup in Russia. If the composition of the divisions was determined now, that the Ukrainian national team got to the elite and could fight for the main trophy.
The initial composition of the divisions of the League of Nations UEFA:
Division A (four groups of three teams): Germany, France, Belgium, Portugal, Switzerland, Spain, England, Italy, Croatia, Poland, Ireland and Ukraine.
Division B (four groups of three teams): the Netherlands, Russia, Iceland, Hungary, Wales, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sweden, Greece, Slovakia, Austria, Israel and Slovenia.
Division C (one group of three teams and three groups of four teams): Northern Ireland, Romania, Czech Republic, Turkey, Albania, Denmark, Montenegro, Serbia, Bulgaria, Scotland, Norway, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Cyprus and Finland.
Division D (four groups of four teams): Estonia, Belarus, Georgia, Armenia, Latvia, Faroe Islands, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Luxembourg, Macedonia, Kosovo, Liechtenstein, Malta, Andorra, San Marino, and Gibraltar.
In June 2019, the top four teams from division A in the Final four will compete for the victory in the League of Nations the League. At the same time, the worst team from each group will go into division B.
