This was stated by the Deputy Executive Director of the International monetary Fund Vladyslav Rashkovan during the Ukrainian Financial Forum in 2018, which takes place in Odessa on September 20-21, reports on Friday, September 21, UKRINFORM.
“Who said that Railways cannot be privatized? Who said that customs have to be public? Who said that hospitals, kindergartens, schools, universities should be public? Who said that the state should issue certificates?” he wanted to know.
According to Rashkovan, Ukraine in this question should refer to the world practice, which shows that what is prohibited for privatization, the world works fine in private ownership.
“There are examples where custom runs more efficiently in private ownership”, – said the financier.
Rashkovan also expressed the view that the list of prohibited privatization should not be at all, because no one can guarantee that this list is permanent, and tomorrow he will expand even more.
“You can’t leave even a small list. Because tomorrow this little list will be more,” he said.
