According to the newspaper Kommersant, in summer, Kiev is planning to halt passenger transport to Russia by train.
Ukraine may 1 July to completely stop passenger rail message with Russia, announced on 24 may, the newspaper Kommersant with reference to sources in Kiev.
Note, in Ukrzaliznytsya, the newspaper said that “no decision on this matter at the moment pending”. Also, the Russian Railways (RZD) said that he had not received from Ukraine any documents on the termination of passenger service to Russia.
“Although plans to suspend passenger transportation has not yet officially confirmed neither in Kiev nor in Moscow, the Ukrainian interlocutors of the newspaper insist that the solution are actively lobbying for the NSDC Secretary Oleksandr Turchynov, the speaker of Parliament Andriy Parubiy, rigid position which in recent years have increasingly supported the President Poroshenko”, − says the publication.
According to a source close to the government of Ukraine, the pretext for this decision will be the reluctance of the Railways “to stop passenger transportation in Russia from the ATO and, in particular, from Donetsk, which violates the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.”
We will remind, on may 18, Ukraine imposed a ban on movement of all goods and empty wagons, including transit through the territory of Ukraine, for a number of companies-owners of Russia.
