Belgrade from 3 to 5 March attended the 34th European championship in athletics in the room.
Ukrainians on the continental championship in the capital of Serbia to win gold failed, but gave the best medal index over the past 12 years. The number of awards Ukraine rounded out the top 5, and in the medal standings is located on the 16-th line.
Quite a bit of gold didn’t have the Sprinter Olesya Povkh – Ukrainian in the race 60 meters issued a personal record (7,10), behind the winners by only 0.04 seconds. Silver Povkh – the best result of Ukraine in Belgrade, the other four medals were bronze.
On the last day of the championship also featured a relay Quartet – Olga Bibik, Tatiana Melnik, Bryzgina Anastasia and Olga Lyakhova took third place in race 4 on 400 metres.
Sergey Nikiforov (long jump), Yulia Levchenko (high jump) and Marina Kripke (pole vault) also put in a medal moneybox of Ukraine awards bronze dignity.
We will remind, under the flag of Ukraine in Belgrade were 33 athletes. More representatives at the winter championship delegated only Germany, Spain and the winners of the medal standings of the poles.
