Ukraine increased coal reserves

Almost half of the reserves of anthracite in the amount of 351 thousand tons is located at Luganskaya TPP.

Coal stocks in warehouses of thermal power plants in the period from 27 February to 6 March increased by 7.4% (to 117.3 thousand tons) – up 1 698,8 million tons.

According to the Ministry of energy and coal industry, as of the morning of 6 March, coal reserves of anthracite amounted to 746,1 thousand tons (-5,5% compared to 27 Feb), gas group – 952,6 million tonnes (+20.3 per cent).

Almost half of the reserves of anthracite in the amount of 351 thousand tons is located at Luganskaya TPP.

However, the reserves of coal in warehouses of thermal power plants (CHP) of Ukraine for the week decreased by 4.9% (5.4 thousand tonnes) – to 104.3 thousand tons. In particular, stocks of anthracite coal on March 6, represented 42.1 thousand tons (-23,7% to 27 Feb), gas – 62,2 thousand tons (+ 14.1 per cent).
