Coal mining enterprises in January-June 2017 reduced production.
Coal mining enterprises of Ukraine in January-June 2017 reduced production of raw coal by 2.9% (556,8 thousand tons) compared to the same period of 2016 to 18 million 435,8 thousand tons.
This was reported by a source in the Ministry of energy and coal industry.
Coking coal production decreased by 24.7% (to 1 million to 112.2 thousand tons) – up to 3 million 387,1 thousand tons, while energy increased by 3.8% (555,4 thousand tons) – up to 15 million 48.7 thousand tons.
In June 2017 extraction of raw coal decreased by 1.8% (by 47.4 thousand tons) compared to January-2016 – up to 2 644,5 million tons.
Coal mining enterprises outside the sphere of control Minenergouglya, in January-June 2017 reduced production by 21.5% (649,4 thousand tons) – up to 2 million 368,7 thousand tons, including coking coal production decreased by 47.6% (408,9 thousand tons) – up to 449,9 thousand tons, energy – 11,1% (240,5 thousand tons) up to 1 million 918,8 thousand tons.
Mine Donetsk region in six months provided production 6,326 million tons of coal (-17,2% compared to January-June 2016), Lugansk – 1 million 514,1 thousand tons (-21,8%), Dnipropetrovsk – 9,834 million tons (+15,9%), Lviv – 705 thousand tonnes (-12,1%), Volyn – 56,8 thousand tons (-48,3%).
