The EU has provided Ukraine the second tranche of 54 million euros. The first was granted in June.
The Ministry of regional development, construction and housing and communal services and the European Commission signed an agreement on granting Ukraine 54 million euros to support programmes energy efficiency Fund. The agreement was signed on Monday, December 17, Deputy Prime Minister Gennady Zubko and European Commissioner Johannes Hahn.
“The EU’s support is directed to programmes within the energy efficiency Fund. This is the grant of irrevocable grants to condominiums for implementation of energy efficiency measures, technical support to condominiums in the preparation of applications to the Fund. We also agreed on the assistance of our German partners in the training of energy auditors who will work in all regions of Ukraine”, – said Zubko.
The money will be sent to multidonors Fund, which is administered by the international Finance Corporation (IFC).
This is the second tranche of the EU in support of the energy efficiency Fund. The first EUR 50 million Ukraine received in June.
