Today on the local roads buses LAZ meet less and less. Therefore, the recent discovery of the guys from the project “the Forge test drives” – is sohranivshiesya LAZ-699R “Tourist” – is truly unique.
Gone are the days when Lviv bus plant produced every year thousands of machines. Today, the LAZ buses are becoming less and less. However, the enthusiasts of the project “the Forge test drives” found near Kiev perfectly preserved bus LAZ-699R “Tourist”. Despite the fact that the car more than a quarter century, it has a mileage of 15 thousand km. And most importantly – body and interior in perfect condition, even the color of the native.
Recall that LAZ-699R “the Tourist” debuted in 1978, however, the full fledged production of the car began only in 1983. The bus was produced until 2002. The car originally had the aluminum grille and fascia separate the driver’s door on the left side, which is then removed.
