Y1 “Dolphin” has passed all required tests and is certified for flight.
SE “Odessa aircraft plant”, part of the Ukroboronprom state concern, has developed a new lightweight 4 roomy single-engine plane, dubbed Y1 “Dolphin”.
It is noted that the ease of operation and flexibility of this aircraft allows you to use it as the first line in the training of pilots as patrol aircraft to monitor the border zones or forest fires, as well as acrobatic or a light passenger aircraft.
Y1 “Dolphin” in the training of pilots as the best suited for the first flight, during which the students learn the basics of flying. For greater security, the aircraft has a special system of salvation, when, in case of an emergency situation the entire aircraft pilots and passengers a parachute. With this solution it is possible to save not only human lives, but also the aircraft itself.
Y1 “Dolphin” is equipped with an engine from the French company Societe de Motorisations Aeronautiques, which is part of a large aviation conglomerate Safran SA, which produces the engines and avionics for Boeing and Airbus. This engine is able to disperse Y1 “Dolphin” to 385 km / h and delivers a non-stop flight to a distance of 1320 km.
The design of the aircraft allows the execution of complex and aerobatics, so the trainees can master the basics of modern air combat maneuvering, as well as the withdrawal of the aircraft from a spin.
The aircraft can be equipped with avionics like on the basis of traditional analog instruments and digital art, called “glass cockpit” and is used in most modern aircraft, including An-148/158/178 and An-132D.
Y1 “Dolphin” has passed all required tests and is certified for flight. Now the plant’s specialists continue to work on the creation of specialized versions of the aircraft.
