The export of meat for 5 months of 2017 increased by 50%.
The export of Ukrainian meat and meat products for 5 months of 2017 amounted to 154 thousand tons ( increased by 50% to January-may 2016), import — 71 thousand tons ( up 11%).

The share of poultry meat in total exports of Ukraine was 80% (124 thousand tons, or 42% more than the year before). High demand Ukrainian bird this year was used in Egypt, Netherlands, UAE, Azerbaijan.
In January-may transported 22 tons of beef, representing 18% of its domestic production, and 6 thousand tons of pork (about 2% of production).
Meat imports, as in previous periods, predominantly pork and poultry. At the same time, import of poultry in January-may 2017 increased by 47% and that of pork decreased by 15%. Imported meat products, mainly from Poland and Germany. The share of imports in domestic food consumption from January to may amounted to 8%.
