Five months in real prison term sentenced 28 bribes
In Ukraine in 2017, increased the number of convictions that corrupt officials sentenced to real imprisonment. This is stated in the study of the portal “Nashi Groshi”.
It is reported that in 2017, increased the number of convictions that corrupt officials sentenced to real imprisonment. In particular, for the first five months of this year only made 28 of these sentences, 4 of which have already entered into force. Last year we delivered a total of 16 such sentences. At the same time during this period increased the number of acquittals compared with the year 2016 – 28 vs 14.
It is also reported that the number of bribery, exempted from punishment decreased. For example, in 2016 for the first five months, 17 people were sentenced to probation (two were 3 years imprisonment, 15 people – 5 years conditionally). And this year over the same period, from real life released 9 people.
We will remind, earlier the Minister of internal Affairs of Ukraine Arsen Avakov said that only 2% of corruption cases pass judgements in courts.
