Ukraine is among the world’s top three countries with the largest shadow economy.
This is evidenced by the research of the international Association of chartered certified accountants (ACCA) to assess and forecast the development of the global shadow economy.
In the ranking includes 28 countries. As a result, Ukraine occupies the third place with the shadow economy 1,953 trillion UAH. In percentage terms this is 45,96% from last year, the country’s GDP, which made up 2.38 trillion hryvnia.
In second place is Nigeria from 48.37%. The first Azerbaijan – 67,04%.
