There is no reason to believe that the cause of the incident can be a lawsuit of Euronews.
The Chairman of the National public TV and radio company Zurab Alasania believes the return of the seized collateral for “Eurovision” the main task in solving the conflict.
He declared in the comment “Ukrainian truth”, answering the question, are there known reasons why the Deposit is frozen.
“We’re not even interested, who (initiated – pack). We must return the money, and we will not demand”, – said Alasania.
According to him, now this issue is a Swiss law firm.
The Chairman’s NOTE also said that there is no reason to believe that the cause of the incident can be a lawsuit of Euronews.
Before this June 26, Deutsche Welle reported, citing its own sources, that the reason for the arrest could be the claim of the TV channel Euronews to NOTE due to the fact that in 2014, NTU initiated the termination of cooperation with Euronews, after which the channel was required to recover from the then NTU and now NOTE the penalty in the amount of 10.59 million euros.
The European broadcasting Union publication also noted that they are not the initiator of the blocking means. “The procedure of seizure is not initiated by the European broadcasting Union and a third party, which we are trying to establish,” said in a written response to the request of DW.
As previously reported, the Geneva management of debt enforcement seized 15 million euros submitted by Ukraine as a guarantee of the proper conduct of the song contest “Eurovision” in 2017.
