Ukraine confiscated $1.7 billion Yanukovych

$1.5 billion was refunded and $200 million recently.

Ukraine since the entry into force of the law on special confiscation, from the accounts of former President Viktor Yanukovych and his entourage confiscated $1.7 billion.

This was stated by Prosecutor General Yury Lutsenko in a live program TSN.Week.

“Inform the two key figures. First, the evaluation of scientific examination, officially conducted by the Academy of Sciences of Ukraine, the losses caused by the regime of Yanukovych to the Ukrainian state, up to $40 billion. It is one of the annual state budget”, – said the Prosecutor General.

According to Lutsenko, $1.5 billion is only a part of looted organized criminal group of Yanukovych.

“These funds are returned in accordance with law and the decisions of the court and they raise questions only from those who previously worked in the departments Kurchenko and Klymenko”, he added.

In addition, the attorney General is convinced that Yanukovych will not be able to get this money back through the European courts, because the law enforcement officers acted within the current legislation in accordance with the decisions of the courts.
