Ukraine can negotiate with the IMF on a new program

In the President’s team considered two options for further cooperation with the Fund.

Adviser to Vladimir Zelensky on macroeconomic policy Oleg Ustenko said that Ukraine can negotiate with the International monetary Fund about a new financing programme after the parliamentary elections. As transfers the Internet edition of the Chronicle.info about this Executive Director of the Bleyzer Foundation said in an interview with Interfax-Ukraine.

“After the elections to the Parliament, I think, it is possible to open a new program. Assume that in June-August will begin the negotiation process on occasion or opening of new or the revision of old programs,” – said Ustenko.

He also noted that the possibility of extension and revision of the parameters of the current program funding.

“I have two scenario: the program will close and start a new, the second will review the parameters of the current and prolong it. But first – the basic”, – said the adviser Zelensky.

As you know, on may 21 in Ukraine with a two-week visit there will arrive IMF mission.
