Volodymyr Groysman met with the Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis.
As said Prime Minister of Ukraine Volodymyr Groysman during a meeting with the Vice-President of the European Commission Valdis Dombrovskis, EU and Ukraine begin a new, fourth, macro-financial assistance programme, says Government portal.
“We feel the support. We are extremely important tasks of the Association Agreement with the EU. We continue the structural changes that also allow you to get closer to EU standards”, – said Groisman.
The head of government stressed that Ukraine considers implementation of the Association Agreement with the EU a key influencer of change in the state and continues the reforms that will bring us closer to EU standards in all spheres of life.
“I’m glad to be in Kiev and to discuss our work together, our steps to deepen cooperation. We signed today an agreement (the macro-financial assistance), and would like to stress that Ukraine is demonstrating great progress on the path of reforms,” said for his part, Valdis Dombrovskis.
The parties stressed that the program of macro-financial assistance is a component of the policy of cooperation.
By the way, under the old program macro-financial assistance, Ukraine has received two tranches of 1.2 billion euros instead of the originally planned EUR 1.8 billion. The third tranche was cancelled due to the fact that Ukraine has fulfilled 17 conditions for granting aid from the agreed 21.
