The Alliance has no plans to provoke Russia.
The head of mission of Ukraine to NATO Vadim pristayko said that Ukraine and NATO will hold joint exercises in the sea of Azov.
“The joint exercise or operation in the sea of Azov, of course, will be perceived by Russia as a provocation. The Alliance is not planning to provoke Russia… While plans with NATO to conduct exercises in the sea of Azov we don’t have,” he said in an interview.
In addition, he recalled that the entry of warships in the sea of Azov at the moment is problematic.
“Neither the Alliance, nor Ukraine interested in further deepening of the conflict. And we today care more about how we can protect our coast, as we enhance our capabilities, in particular, build a small naval base in the sea of Azov, strengthen missile and artillery weapons. We recently conducted their own study – missile”, – said the Ambassador.
In October the Minister of foreign Affairs of Russia Sergey Lavrov in an interview with French media said that “Ukraine wants to invite NATO exercises in the sea of Azov” and NATO supposedly actively Ukraine in this “indulge”.
