Ukraine and Hungary have agreed on the implementation of the language provisions of the law On education. The Minister of education and science, Liliya Hrynevych said during a joint briefing with the Minister of foreign Affairs Paul Klimkin and the Minister of human resources of Hungary Zoltan Balogh by.

According to her, it was agreed that the model on which children will be taught in Hungarian schools will be acquired in consultation with the Hungarian community.

In particular, the possible adjustment of the learning process will be introduced in the new version of the law On General secondary education curricula for their respective schools, as well as in new textbooks and methods of training teachers.

In addition, the parties agreed that Ukraine until the findings of the European Commission For democracy through the right to education act will not undertake unilateral steps in the change process of education in Hungarian schools.

At the same time, Ukraine has taken a position on whether to extend the study of the state language, therefore will increase the number of hours of teaching the Ukrainian language, and later hours of learning other subjects in Ukrainian.

In addition, the parties agreed that during the transitional period, not yet approved a final model of the implementation of the norms of language, in Hungarian schools will not change the current model of teaching.

In turn, Balog noted that Hungary is ready to further consultations on the implementation of the education act, including in terms of increasing the effectiveness of learning the Ukrainian language.

At the same time about the agreements on languages of education between Ukraine and Hungary, wrote the Minister of foreign Affairs Pavlo Klimkin on his page on the social network Twitter.
