A number of anthracite blocks were transferred to gas group.
For the second month in a row the Ukrainian thermal power plants consume coal of the anthracite group at 300 thousand tons less than last year. Such rates allow to reach annual volumes of use of anthracite in Ukraine, 5 million tons, which is almost half less than last year, according to the government website.
If in November of last year Ukraine consumed 806 thousand tons of coal grade “A”, then in November of 2017 – 532 thousand tons.
“If we were earlier in the year consumed more than 9 million tons of coal grade “A” at the end of this year it will be about 5 million tons. This was made possible thanks to the government’s measures for transfer of blocks of anthracite of Ukrainian thermal power plants to gas group”, – stated in the message.
A strategic goal for the next year identified increasing domestic production of coal gas group.
We will remind, earlier Ukraine fully meet their needs at the expense of anthracite of the Donets basin. However, in connection with the Russian aggression anthracite mines remained on the uncontrolled territory.
