Ukrainian athletes at the world Championships in London managed to win only one medal.
The main character of the world championship was a 19-year-old Yulia Levchenko won silver in the high jump. Young from Kiev to London twice updated personal record and established themselves as the new faces of the Ukrainian athletics.
In addition to Levchenko, the world championship medal claimed only two athlete – Igor Glavan in race walking for 50 kilometers took fourth place and all-rounder Alex Kasyanov became the sixth.
