With the new system, drivers and passengers will not have to share phone numbers.
So you no longer had to write drivers SMS message with the text “Where are you?”, the developers added in the Uber app built-in chat.
To enter the message, the passenger simply click on the Contact section of the tape. So you can specify the exact location and other information that will help the driver to find a user faster.
The Uber has a solution for those who are concerned about the danger of doing texting behind the wheel. The app reads messages aloud, and the driver can quickly respond using Emoji — for example, thumb up. Both sides of the conversation will be able to learn, delivered and read their message.
According to the company, thanks to the new system, drivers and passengers will not have to share phone numbers. Uber already uses the technology of anonymization numbers when sending messages and making calls, but it is unavailable in some developing countries.
Uber has always tried to do so through the program as quickly as possible to order a car. At the same time, the company wants users spent in the program as much as possible. Therefore, it integrates functions like filters for photos, integration with calendar and social opportunities. Now the list has expanded by one function — built-in chat.
The innovation will be available in all countries in the coming weeks.
