U.S. insists on creating anti-corruption court in Ukraine

Marie Yovanovitch stated that Ukraine needs an independent judiciary.

Among the reforms in the justice sector, the United States isolated a new anti-corruption court in Ukraine.

This was stated by U.S. Ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch.

According to her, the country has a capable and independent investigators and prosecutors. But in order to provide results that are waiting for the Ukrainians, we need an independent judiciary.

“We had a program in the justice sector, which helped to formulate the very important laws and amendments to the Constitution approved last spring and fall. We are now working with all parties on completion of the Supreme Court,” said Jovanovic also.
