Turkey conducted mass arrests of suspected links to terrorism

Police conducted extensive searches in Istanbul.

In Turkey have detained 36 people on suspicion of links with terrorist group ISIL.

It is noted that most of the detainees – 31 people – are foreigners.

“The nationality of detainees is not specified,” – said the Agency.

In the framework of the fight against terrorism, local police spent Saturday raided 15 buildings in Istanbul.
It is anticipated that some of the detainees fought in Syria and Iraq on the side of the militants.

Earlier it was reported that in the framework of a special operation in Turkey were detained more than 400 suspected of links to ISIS.
