The Deputy Minister of the temporarily occupied territories and internally displaced persons Georgy Tuka said that Russian aggression in the Donbass will last three to five years if no strong external factors. He said this live on channel 5.
“I don’t think it (the return of the occupied Donbass under the control of Ukraine – ed.) is now fast. According to my estimates, it may take three to five years. Again, if there is some powerful external factors that will influence one or another side on the development of events,” said Tuck.
According to him, it can be whatever you want, including the aggravation of relations between Russia and the United States against the background of Syria, Iraq, Korea.
He believes that there is a fundamental difference between the behavior of Russia in the occupied Crimea and the Donbas.
“I mean from the point of view of economic. The financial capabilities of Russia decreased significantly in relation to Crimea as well,” said Tuck.
The Deputy Minister stressed that in the Donbass even it was not about investing from the very first days of his capture.
