The President of the United States Donald trump jokingly justifies the decision to withdraw from the Paris climate agreement by the cold snap in the United States.
“In the East could be the coldest New year from the previously known. Perhaps we could use some of that good old Global warming, for protection from which our country but not other countries, was going to pay the trillions of dollars. Dress warm!”, – he wrote.
The Washington Post also wrote on Twitter: “the United States will be the coldest region in the world in comparison with the norm over the next week.”
“Please note that the rest of the world will be much warmer than usual, as if someone wasn’t trying to say that the center of a cold snap in the US disproves global warming, that they are inevitable and irresponsible will to do”, – stated in the message.
As you know, Donald trump announced the US withdrawal from the Paris climate agreement on 1 June.
The us President said that the agreement is too lenient towards the leading polluters – China and India. At the same time, the agreement poses a threat to the US industry.
