The President of the United States Donald trump phoned his French counterpart Emmanuel Macron, to discuss the situation in Iraq.
According to the press service of the White house, the two sides agreed to make every effort to support dialogue between Baghdad and authorities in Kurdistan to declare independence.
“President Donald trump spoke today with the President of France Emmanuel Macron. The presidents agreed on the need to settle disagreements between the Iraqi government and the Kurdistan regional government through dialogue,” — said in a press release.
It is noted that the United States and France maintain a cordial relationship and are allies, committed to promoting stability in the middle East and North Africa.
