In the Federation Council commented on the possible sanctions trump against Russia.
If the President of the United States Donald trump will go to new sanctions against Russia for supporting Syria, it can really ruin relations with Russia, believes the Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on international Affairs Konstantin Kosachev.
Earlier the U.S. permanent representative to the UN, Nikki Haley announced that trump discusses with the members of his administration the possibility of introducing new sanctions against Russia and Iran for supporting Syria.
“Reports that trump is discussing with members of his administration the possibility of tightening sanctions against Russia and Iran for their support of Syria indicate that perhaps his missile strike on April 7 at the air base of the Syrian troops, the U.S. leader has not reached all the goals planned. That is primarily to appease those who wanted blood in Syria and other decisive actions against Russia. However, going on about them, trump steps on a very dangerous path. First, they will never rest. But trying to please them, it is possible to spoil relations with Russia, we can say, to the level of Obama, if we consider it a benchmark of the negativity and “bottom”, — said Kosachev to journalists.
As suggested Kosachev, trump, acting in this way, may “not leave yourself escape routes”.
“The more the action is “punishment for Assad” — that to Russia or Iran, to Syria — the less chance of an objective investigation. This is how Malaysian “Boeing” — the sanctions against Russia were adopted so rapidly that any other version, except for the cause of Russia and/or military DND would be after that disaster and would cost the heads of many European politicians”, — he stressed.
