The premiere Canada and the UK raised a number of issues, including the situation in Ukraine and North Korea.
The Prime Ministers of Canada and Britain’s Justin Trudeau and Theresa may in the course of the meeting on the sidelines of the G7 summit in the canadian province of Quebec and exchanged views on North Korea and Ukraine. This is stated in a press release at the summit.
“The Prime Ministers discussed the priority issues of the “big seven”, including economic growth and job creation, as well as issues of global peace and security, including in the context of the situation with North Korea and Ukraine”, – stated in the message.
In addition, the Prime Ministers touched on the themes of gender equality and the empowerment of women and discussed the problems of ocean pollution and trade issues.
“The leaders noted the importance of adopting a G7 joint action for the protection of the oceans, including the reduction of pollution by plastic, and also reminded of the need for greater attention to the education of women and girls, especially in fragile States and crisis situations”, – stated in the message.
Note, at the summit of the G7 countries on Saturday, June 9, will discuss issues related to North Korea, Iran and Syria.
