In San Francisco (USA) on Wednesday, March 28, the car ran into a group of people as a result one person died and four were injured.
The police said that the driver committed “an act of physical violence” against five pedestrians and then fled the scene.
According to the Fox News channel, early the van driver had a conflict with a group of five people, after which he got out of the car and began to chase them, swinging a subject similar to an axe.
People managed to disarm the man, after which he drove onto the sidewalk at high speed. As a result of the collision injured five people, but one of them later died.
Law enforcement officers do not believe the incident a terrorist attack and said that the safety of the public is not in danger.
