Toyota will create an ecosystem of smart cars

The Japanese brand tries to recreate “society” among the cars.

Automaker Toyota and technology Corporation have formed a consortium to jointly collect and use big data collected from connected cars.

The consortium Automotive Edge Computing Consortium included Denso, Ericsson, Intel, NTT, NTT Docomo and Toyota. Participants will create an ecosystem around big data that collect connected car.

The collected data will be used to assist drivers in real-time. The consortium plans to develop and propose new standards and architecture for the connected car.

While the consortium is in the process of formation. The companies included in its composition, plan to invite other corporations to join them.

It is projected that over the next 5 years, the total number of connected cars will reach 220 million They will have to pay for Parking, fuel and services, to stream music and video, to provide navigation. This opens a new era of transport — and a new era of liberamente.
