National traditions and peculiarities of mentality of the Hungarians.
The combination of modern European and ancient Gypsy traditions in the culture of Hungary gave rise to a rather interesting tradition.
They eat paprika always and everywhere
Paprika is an integral part of Hungarian cuisine. The spice (powder of dried Labouchere pepper) is added everywhere, but especially in the stew — another culinary treasure of the nation. The peppers sell bags on the markets and as a souvenir for foreigners. The number of varieties is counted a dozen varieties, and studded with small red fruit tree growing in the garden or on the windowsill, almost every Hungarian.
They don’t drink tea
Familiar to the Russian people support any of the tea dessert in Hungary is not working. With all the richness of flour cakes and traditional sweets to wash down meals Hungarians prefer plain water or coffee. Under tea here means rather a remedy for illnesses. Indeed, why drink tea if there’s sell great fresh coffee for €1?
They massively go to the bath

They are not afraid of homeless people
In Budapest a lot of people without a certain residence. They are literally everywhere: begging, sleeping, eating, chatting with each other. Expel them only from the most Central and touristic places of the city. Doing this representatives the foot patrol of the maximum courteous and delicately. This lifestyle is associated not only with the economic situation in the country and the nomadic nature of certain layers of society. Not to work and live on the street — a conscious choice for many. They clean, take care of myself and for the most part no different from ordinary passers-by. They are very Patriotic
A sense of pride in their history and the unity of the nation in the blood of every Hungarian. In Budapest’s Heroes ‘ square, the Central part is a memorial to the 1000th anniversary of the finding of the homeland, founded in 1896. Throughout the second half of the IX century, the ancestors of Magyars migrated from the Urals in the valley of the Danube. And still the Hungarians preserve their language from foreign influences. They are generally quite active citizens: on the streets everywhere hanging posters calling to influence domestic corruption, to actively vote in elections, to participate in the political situation of the country. If something goes wrong, they feel a responsibility to change that. It is not made to feel ashamed of his origin, and in the case of career success Hungarian often writes off it on their ancestry.
They coddle kids
Here and there everywhere you can hear: “Mit szeretne?”, which translated means “what would you like?”. The child’s opinion is respected since childhood, and solely care about the process of education. Children for Hungarians — not the people, and the little deity, who can do anything. Of course, it affects kids, but it’s amazing how they grow up not spoiled, selfish, and open-minded, smiling, kind and not at all shy of strangers. Each child, according to his parent, needs its own individual rate of development. For example, to stay for a second year here is not considered demeaning.
They do not go without documents
First, the police in Hungary could be just so and perfectly legal to check documents on the street, from any pedestrian. Secondly, the ticket can be bought here only by ID-card. The authorities in this case are guided by simple logic: one identity can drive only one citizen of the country and not all the members of his family. Tourists are also buying a long-term Eurail pass passport or single pass without confirmation of identity. And finally, nobody has abolished the procedure of confirmation of your age when buying alcohol in bars.
They are strangers to the ceremonies
Hungarians talking to each other “you”. Everyone always. Exception can be called only appeal to older people, in order to emphasize respect for the individual person. After the greeting should be mandatory kiss: kiss first one cheek, then the other.
They celebrate the birthday
Don’t be surprised if you will not congratulate you on birthday. This holiday not usually celebrated in the usual sense. A much more important day for the Hungarian party. At the party, as any serious celebration in Hungary, arranged for a party and given gifts.
