“Torture of elders” Lawyer: accused in “the Ingush case” will be the day to haul in the paddy wagon

“Then [Malsagova and orahova] introduced the resolutions on appointment of examinations and was taken to the detention center in Nalchik. Today at 2 a.m., they and five main accused, including Zarif Sautieva, raise and get lucky in paddy wagons to Stavropol. It’s still about 5-6 hours of road. Then all of them will conduct the examination. It’s a few hours of waiting in the van and spacemaster. After which they’ll be lucky back to Nalchik, respectively 5-6 hours in paddy wagons, and Massage agahowa and Ahmed barahoeva another 3 hours I will drive to Vladikavkaz”, — said ahilgov on his page in Facebook.

The lawyer also said that yesterday it was not possible to send food to the accused, today do also not succeed.

Recall barakhoyev and Uzhakhov become involved in “the Ingush case” after the spring in Ingushetia held a series of rallies against the transfer of part of the lands of Chechnya. Respect of elders was instituted criminal proceedings under part 2 of article 318 of the criminal code through part 3 of article 33 (“the organization of the use of force against a representative of authority”). The charge was later changed to part 1 of article 318 of the criminal code.

In the fall of 2018, the then head of Ingushetia Yunus-Bek Yevkurov and the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov has signed the agreement on the transfer of part of the land of Ingushetia, Chechnya. Under this agreement Ingushetia received from Chechnya, part of the Nadterechny district, instead of Ingushetia handed over to the Chechen territory on the border with the Malgobek district — a section of the Sunzha district. However, the residents of Ingushetia did not agree with this state of Affairs, after which the Republic hosted a number of sanctioned and unsanctioned rallies. The constitutional court of Ingushetia sided with the protesters, but Russia’s constitutional court ruled that the agreement on transfer of lands legally.

At the end of March 2019 protests resumed. 26-27 March Magas was held at first agreed with the authorities, and then — a spontaneous rally against the changes of the border with Chechnya and the rules of the referendum. The protest ended with clashes with the security forces — this was one of the reasons for the initiation of criminal cases against protesters.
