Architectural masterpieces have been built over decades and even centuries. So the construction of St. Vitus Cathedral in Prague lasted a total of 585 years, the Notre Dame Cathedral was built 182 years, the Neuschwanstein castle in Bavaria, which, according to legend, inspired Tchaikovsky to write “Swan lake” put on a brick for 24 years.
Today, even the large and grandiose buildings literally grow up in the blink of an eye. In rare cases, the process is delayed for several years. And that is mainly not due to architectural complexities, but because of funding problems. Construction technology made a huge leap forward, and the speed at which there are new houses is staggering, writes Today.
In just 19 days in the Chinese city of Changsha has appeared the 57-storey “sky mini city”. 1,200 workers were building a skyscraper with an average speed of 3 floors per day. The house is placed 800 apartments and office space for 4,000 people. Its total area of 186 thousand square metres.
The Heijmans ONE house, popular in the Netherlands, is a team structure of solid wood frames and solar panels. To build a home with kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room in one day.
3-4 December 2012 Indian architects and engineers managed to build a 10-storey building in just 48 hours, setting a new world record. The total area of the building, INSTACON, located in Mohali is 25 000 square meters. The process involved hundreds of workers, 200 technical staff and 24 engineer.

Another Chinese miracle is a native of Changsha city — the 15-storey Ark Hotel, appeared in just 48 hours. In this, as in the case of a 30-story hotel, used pre-manufactured at the factory in modules with all communications. The builders had only to put it all together like a puzzle.
The Chinese company Winsun has used giant 3D printers to less than a day to build 10 small houses mostly of recycled materials. The cost of a house is less than $5,000.
