Specialists of the Institute of astronomy of max Planck society in Germany found about twenty four “death stars” that are closer to the Solar system.
More than two dozen comets that bear a potential risk and are using 3, 26 light-years, can lead to disaster in our galaxy. Scientists have studied the information obtained from the ESA satellite Gaia. According to them some stars affect your gravity on large asteroids, located in the Oort Cloud. Those, in turn, such influence can turn into a comet and will approach the short distance to the Sun. According to the experts, which they posted on the official website of the Institute only sixteen light years to our planet can come close to six hundred of these “death stars”.
The communique notes that, despite the theoretically existing danger of collision of these heavenly bodies with the planets in the Solar system, there are several factors, which significantly reduces such risks, including the gravity of the Sun, a collision path with the smaller space objects, and other factors.
