In Ukraine there is no request for a cultural experiment on a national scale.
Ukrainians are due to “genetic failure” have little interest in culture, which is not true of the inhabitants of developed countries. In this regard, sharovarschina pushed real art to the periphery.
Such opinion on air “Columnist. LIVE” was expressed by the famous Ukrainian actor and writer Antin mukharsky.
“We’ve had another scoop that the Ukrainian art is something agrarian shareware manner. Why do we need Ukrainian art when there are Virsky ensemble and choir named Ropes?” he said.
Mukharsky expressed regret that in Ukraine there is no request for a cultural experiment on a national scale.
He expressed great respect Ivo Bobul, Stepan Giga, Nina Matvienko and several other well-known performers who represent the classic of Ukrainian stage.
“And that’s all we need. God forbid, some Ukrainian experiment. Well, OK, Oleg Skrypka and “Okean Elzy”. And yet,” – said the writer.
According to him, other artists and collectives have difficulty to break through the “Ukrainian agrarian-elven earthiness”.
“It does not give hope for a leap, and jump. Ukrainians, to a large extent, remain at a very primitive level of perception of culture as such. We have a genetic glitch in this plan,” said mukharsky.
For comparison, he cited sociological data according to which in Ukraine for a maximum of 1.5% of the population visit exhibitions, go to concerts, and interested in modern art.
“In civilized countries is 10-15%. We are below the low level. It does not give hope for a breakthrough things”, – summed up mukharsky.
