This summer in Russian will be released collection of short stories of the world Strangers

Evil, dark, horse, has long stretched out her long paws outside the cinema. About them make games, draw comics, in their image and likeness sculpt cool collectible figurines. Not spared the aliens attention of the literary world: for example, simultaneously with the release of the film Ridley Scott’s “Alien: Testament” came from the official novelization Alan Dean foster. But this is only a drop in the ocean – in fact, books on the universe of Others much more.

The domestic plans of the publishing house “AST” in the summer is the anthology “Strangers. Hunting for bugs”. This collection of short stories, one way or another connected with the contacts and the xenomorphs themselves, and the people here is not easy – in the center of attention is colonial Marines. You remember those cool dudes from the movie “Aliens”, right? Burke then told Ripley the next, almost touting them: “These colonial Marines are very tough guys. They have state of the art firepower. But still there is something that they can’t control”. About the collision of two completely different worlds, told nearly two dozen authors.

Official abstract:

When the Colonial Marines are sent on a quest deadliest prey, the xenomorphs themselves, they call it “hunting for bugs”. And there is only one rule: kill or be killed. Before you eighteen brand-new stories about such “close ties” written by the outstanding contemporary masters of suspense fiction. The events of the first four films of the series “Alien”, expedition of brave earthlings to other worlds, the abandoned space settlements and in the nests of the most dangerous monsters of the Universe — these adventures are guaranteed to make the blood run faster… one way or another.

The anthologist was made by the writer Jonathan Mayberry. None of the earlier work on Russian not translated – full exclusive. And let not all the authors of the book are well familiar to Russian readers, some of them quite serious horrormike. Ray Garton remember piercing stories, Brian Keane – “the Worm conqueror” and awards them. Bram Stoker, Scott Sigler – novels “Infected”. From Christopher Golden in Russia came more than a dozen books, and Tim Lebbon and does can be called a specialist in scenes and megaverse the universe – he worked with Strangers and Predators and even king Kong.
