American scientists from tufts University stated that control of salt intake can extend a person’s life.
“Adequate intake of salt is more cost-effective way to reduce the number of deaths than the use of special drugs,” said the study.
It is reported that excessive salt consumption is associated with development of renal failure, stomach cancer and cardiovascular disorders, said doctors.
“Reducing salt intake is only 200 mg per day, equivalent to one bag of chips, you can save a life,” – said the scientists.
