The researchers found in green tea the substance is able to get rid of two types of skin cancer.
A unique substance called takapihalta gallate (EGCG) discovered by scientists from the Universities of Glasgow and Strathclyde. According to them, it acts on the cancer almost magically.
Scientists in the laboratory caused takapihalta gallate directly on a cancerous tumor. As a result, at least two-thirds of the formations decreased. Sometimes the tumor during the experiment, had disappeared entirely.
The researchers believe that the substance from green tea are able to cope with melanoma developing on the moles and squamous cell carcinoma, which appears on the skin scales.
