After almost three years from the date of the world premiere of the horror film “the Babadook” (The Babadook), but rather the titular monster was suddenly in trend. The hashtag #TheBabadook right now tearing to shreds, Twitter, and all because this movie is by mistake attributed to the category “films for the LGBT community”. Surprised? Gays and lesbians are affected as you are.
Australian Jennifer Kent wrote and directed the film based on his own short film, “the Babadook” was really very, very good genre picture, was seen at film festivals, warmly received by critics and audiences – including in Russia. The film is about a single mother raising a troubled child and colliding with the monster, emerge from a strange children’s book. The babadook, in which notable film experts see first of all the personification, the living manifestation of the depressive state of the main character of the film, managed to become something of a horror icon, creating a considerable amount of fan art, Halloween costumes and even becoming the hero of the track of the Russian rap group 2rbina 2rista:

This error gave rise to a wave, as the Babadook became a meme, spreading like a virus on the World wide Web. Netizens reacted to the situation with humor, making the Babadook suddenly became a symbol of the LGBT community, appearing in this capacity in various fotobuch.
