Dmitry Kapranov expressed his opinion.
The allegation that Ukrainians are by nature a peace-loving nation – not that other as a myth.
This opinion was expressed by the writer Dmytro Kapranov.
“Peaceful Ukrainians and peace in Ukraine – it is rather an abstraction than the truth. Nobody can say when it was. Well, Yes, we are peaceful, but when? Show thumb, when it was. So wildly, of course, at the same time to raise from one side to the Cossack myth, but on the other, we are peaceful”, he said.
According to Kapranov, the issue of militancy Ukrainians generally not worth it.
“Of course, today, many stupid to repeat these things (about peacefulness. – Ed.) because Shevchenko many other verses that also are part of the national ideas and who are very different. Another question, what are we fighting for, but no question that we’re still at war”, – concluded the writer.
As proof, he cited the history of the emergence of the Kiev fortress deep from the then borders of the Empire, the number of Russian troops stationed, and a number of uprisings in Ukraine in the NINETEENTH century.
